It's money-back, and credited if you continue. This is the wedge: you find out exactly where you stand before committing to anything monthly.
2. Readiness Sprint — AED 15,000–22,000 (optional). The full plan — and only if the Reality Check says there's something worth building. Use-case portfolio, tool and vendor decisions, and governance sized to your company. You only buy this rung if step one says it's worth it.
3. AI CTO Retainer — from AED 12,000/month. The monthly owner for your AI. Every month you get the AI Close (what's live, what's parked, what we killed, what it costs, what's next), go/no-go on every idea, vendor and contract calls, data rules kept enforced, and any build work directed — never padded. Three-month minimum, then monthly with 30 days' notice. A limited number of clients at a time.
Build work — actually implementing the automations, dashboards and integrations — is quoted separately. You never pay a retainer for hours you didn't use.
What actually drives the number
A fractional AI CTO isn't priced by a job title — it's priced by scope. Three things move it:
- How much you want them to do. "Steer" (advise, decide, govern) costs less than "drive and embed" (in the room, hands on the rollout).
- Company size and complexity. A 20-person single-site operator needs less than a 200-staff multi-branch group running several different systems.
- Advise vs. build. Owning the strategy, the go/no-go and the governance is the retainer. Building the actual tools is separate scope — which is what keeps the retainer honest and predictable.
Why it's still far cheaper than the alternative
